I have determined I am completely insane and there is no hope in saving my ass.
Where do I start. I was born in the 'burbs of Chicago and lived there quite contently until my mother uprooted my brother and I, moving us to the hills of the Ozarks in Arkansas. Talk about a frickin' culture shock!
After 6 years, I actually began to like it. Go figure. Took me another two years to hate it again and my ass moved back to Illinois. Except, this time...it was to the cornfields and soybean fields of East Central Illinois. Right near the heartland of Illinois Amish Country. Check! Another culture shock.
I did a short 3 month stint in Cleveland before ending up back in Illinois for another few years. And then another major move. The move to Denver. That lasted all of 2 years.
Next was back to the midwest. Indianapolis. Enough said there. One year. One year too many. One year that my life almost came crashing down before me because of my refusal to talk about problems that existed or pussy footing around them. I wasn't all to blame, but facing the music, it was partly my fault.
Onward to Connecticut. Back living by my mother. Freedom to have weekend getaways and spend more couple time with the DB. Trying to salvage something and conform to society. I can honestly say, I'm not quite sure it's working.
I've been living in the Charlotte region for the past year. One year too many. I've come to the conclusion that I just can't live in the south anymore. I yearn to be back out west. Being of a high strung nature, I find the west more laid back and on the current zen I try to achieve. I won't even go into the damn humidity.
I write fiction. I make it into fiction is a statement that has a better fit. My philosophy is that the best fiction is mainly derived from truth. Just like the best lies are mainly truth, only sugar coated. One day I will be published again. In the mean time, I continue to work in the corporate environment, which is sucking me dry each and every dismal day.
On a side note, if I have any typos, mispellings, whatever...I don't give a flying crap. I'm tired and lazy and that's all there is to it.
